Cyclocross this weekend!

Are you ready for an exciting new cycling experience? Head to Badger Prairie Park in Verona on Saturday to see a thrilling cyclocross race!

Cyclocross is a unique style of bicycle racing that takes place on a closed course featuring a variety of surfaces, obstacles, and challenges. Riders must dismount their bikes and carry them over barriers, navigate tight turns, and power through mud and sand – all while racing against the clock.

It’s an incredibly dynamic and spectator-friendly sport that requires skill, strength, and strategy. Cyclocross events are a blast to watch, with riders pushing their limits and the courses providing endless opportunities for excitement and drama.

Several friends of the shop will be competing in the Badger Prairie Cross Race. The morning races are the most exciting (IMHO) and feature the junior racers, folks new to the sport, and the old and slow but still enthusiastic. In the afternoon you will see the top local racers and some fun single-speed action.

Cyclocross is extremely spectator friendly and we encourage you to come out, enjoy the atmosphere, and see what cyclocross is all about. It’s a unique and thrilling way to experience the joy of cycling and beautiful fall weather.
