Winter Tire Check

+ Cold Weather Tire Tips
Cold weather changes the way your tires feel on the road. Rubber stiffens, small sidewall cracks become bigger problems, and low temperatures can drop your tire pressure faster than you expect.
If you’re riding through snowy or slushy streets, running your tires at a slightly lower pressure can actually improve grip and make the bike more stable. Too much air in winter conditions can make the ride feel skittish, while a bit of softness helps the tire bite into the surface better. (Still keep it within the safe range printed on the sidewall.)
If your tires are worn, cracked, or past their best years, we have a wide range of replacements in stock — city tires, hybrid tires, mountain bike tires, and kid-bike sizes. Even if your bike has been sitting for a while, fresh rubber can make a huge difference in how it handles.
Not sure what size you need? Bring the bike in, or snap a picture of the numbers on the tire. We’re happy to help you sort it out.
