When do you do the Seasonal Pivot?

Don't Pack It In Yet

Right about this time of year, you are thinking about either packing it in for the season, or gearing up for the Wisconsin elements.

Packing it in for the season? If you are planning to pack the bike away, it’s the best time to get a thorough cleaning and re-greasing before storing them in a freezing garage. No one wants rusted cables or seized components come spring.

Do you need help with bike storage solutions? Do you prefer to hang your bikes on the wall? From the ceiling? Maybe just on a tower on the floor? We can help you find the right solution for your specific situation. We also have solutions to help you store that hitch rack that takes up space in the offseason.

Shifting to an indoor set-up? Maybe you aren’t planning to pack the bike away, but rather move it to the basement or spare bedroom so you can spin all winter. Shifting Gears can help you with your indoor biking needs too, including smart trainers and stationary set-ups. Come down to the shop and see what we’ve got on display to help you decide how to move forward.

Riding til your fingers go numb and you can’t feel your face? Maybe you aren’t quite ready yet to hang up the bike and are looking to do some fat-tire biking and gravel grinding. The shop can help you with outfitting your bike to ensure it can handle damp, leaf-covered asphalt, muddy single tracks, or early frost.

Don’t switch gears too soon though… There is still plenty of time to get out on a few trails to see those Fall colors. The Military Ridge State Trail, Elroy-Sparta State Trail, and the near by Badger State Trails are three super fun trails to see loads of eye-popping colors.

We like the way you roll!
